1.2: Electron Interactions

Electrons are point particles with a small mass and a charge of -1. Their charge means they interact with most other charged particles they encounter, whether they be electrons or nucleus of an atom.

Electron interactions are essential for generation of modern x-ray beams, as well as for the special dose distribution seen in tissue when using electron beams for treatment.
