B: Thoracic Tumours
The majority of tumours within the thorax arise from the lungs; a number of rarer tumours such as mesothelioma and thymoma can arise in the mediastinum. Non-site specific tumours can also develop in the thorax (eg. lymphoma, sarcoma) and are discussed elsewhere.
