L: Paediatric Tumours
Paediatric tumours are tumours of tissues within the body that usually occur at a young age. They occur in the same tissues as adult cancers, and many paediatric tumours can also occur in adults; however they tend to encompass a different range of pathological types than seen in adult cancers. Paediatric patients also bring with them additional complexeties, such as potential for second malignancies, difficulties with consent and so on.
Therefore, this section of the site will focus on tumours that frequently occur in paediatric patients. These tumours will likely be replicated in other sections of the site.
