Uterine Cervix Malignancy
Commonly referred to as cervical cancer, malignancy of the uterine cervix is becoming far less prevalent in the West with increasing early detection. It remains the third most common malignancy in women worldwide due to the high frequency in developing countries. Most cases are squamous cell carcinoma and are closely related to HPV infection and smoking.
