2: Small Cell Lung Cancer
Small cell lung cancer has a vastly different behaviour to other lung cancers, thus giving rise to the distinction of 'small cell' and 'non-small cell' malignancies. While non-small lung cancers are undergoing further divisions as differences in responses to therapies are elucidated, small cell lung cancer remains a single entity with its own management principles.
