hi there. excellent website. thanks so much for publishing it.

i was wondering where you got your info for the abscopal effect? it's not indexed in any of the books i've read, and the distant bystander effect is the closest thing i can find, but that doesn't sound the same as the abscopal effect.

It's been a while since I covered that :) My DoT asked me the same question yesterday!

• One of the important articles I reviewed is here, which mainly talks about control of cancer distant from the irradiated site

In summary, the abscopal effect is an umbrella term that includes all cases of effects occurring outside of the treated area, including 'distant bystander effects'.
