Pregnancy

The embryo and fetus contain rapidly growing cells that will eventually become a new person (depending on your point of view). This makes exposure to cytotoxic therapy, biological therapy (eg. bevacizumab) and radiotherapy problematic. Sensitivity to radiotherapy also ensures difficulty with staging procedures. Surgery is also more difficult during pregnancy and carries additional risks.
