1: Head and Neck
The head and neck is a complex arrangement of tissues which is, unfortunately, frequently susceptible to malignancy. Malignancies in this region are typically disfiguring and can cause significant functional problems. For the purposes of this focused study, commonly treated sites are covered in detail.
Note that the curriculum divides topics into 'Detailed' and 'Specific' knowledge requirements; therefore detailed knowledge about the nasopharynx is required but detailed knowledge of the base of skull is not
